Frequently Asked Questions
I specialize in working with couples and individuals navigating early parenthood and those feeling stuck in high-conflict patterns. If you’re exhausted from constant arguments or feeling disconnected since becoming parents, I can help you move from survival mode to a more connected and supportive relationship.
I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method, two highly effective, research-based methods. These approaches help you understand the deeper emotional needs beneath the conflict, improve communication, and rebuild trust. I tailor the methods to your and your partner’s individual needs.
Yes. Conflict often signals that something deeper needs attention—not that your relationship is broken. I help you understand what you are fighting *for*, not just what you are fighting *about*. I will work with you to understand the tension and guide you in creating new ways of responding to each other that bring relief, safety, and connection.
The transition to parenthood can shake even the strongest relationships. Sleep deprivation, shifting roles and identities, hormonal and body changes, and overall parenting stress can create emotional distance. Therapy gives you space to reconnect, process this major life change, and build a team dynamic that supports both your relationship and your parenting.
I am out of network right now. Many people appreciate the privacy, flexibility, and personalized care this allows. If you have out-of-network benefits, I offer two options:
With couples, each session is structured to help you understand and shift the patterns that keep you stuck. We’ll work together to identify triggers, practice healthier communication, and build tools you can use at home—especially during stressful parenting moments or conflict-heavy conversations.
With individuals, sessions are tailored to provide you with the language to describe your emotions for yourself and for the people in your life as we explore the behavior, beliefs, and desired relief so we can do repair work at the deepest level to make long-lasting changes.
Weekly sessions are recommended to build momentum and trust, especially in the beginning. We’ll reassess over time and adjust the frequency as progress is made. I always tell my clients that I am here for you and you can tell me what you need, including flexibility and communication in between sessions.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to learn more about your relationship and your individual needs and answer any questions. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session and begin building a stronger, more connected partnership.
